Last year I was privileged to receive the Athena40 - A Platform for Visionary Leadership ESG Media Award, which I dedicated to my BBC Breakfast colleagues who made those 10 years of night shifts possible as we balanced life, deadlines and sleep.

Fast forward to today, and I’m incredibly proud to be launching We Job Box at the prestigious House of Lords, as part of the Global Thinkers Forum - founders of the Athena Awards - Women at the Helm event marking International Women's Day 2026

More than 70 friends and stakeholder partners will join us for a seated breakfast where I’ll recognise the many people who have helped drive our mission to democratise a work-ready workforce

I’ll also be sharing an update on our government-funded Digital Futures Work Experience programme, currently being evaluated by Aston University as we approach its final stages.

It has been a wonderful experience and I’m deeply grateful to everyone involved, including Angel Tan, PhD, BCBA and Laura Di Chiacchio (PhD, FHEA) from Aston University for their generous support.

Photo: I’m delighted to be chairing a panel at our We Job Box Launch Event, alongside an inspiring group of panellists: Philip Robinson, Sharold Palmer, FRSA, Dr Natasha Davendralingam and Siu Mun Li

I’m also delighted to be collaborating with Global Thinkers Forum on an exciting upcoming project, which I’ll share more about soon — thanks to the brilliant Elizabeth Filippouli, BA, MSc, EMBA, ALM
